As I mentioned in our one-on-ones, I am about to 'change the lines' on our marketing/leadgen strategy by shifting from a frontal/in-your-face BUY US (which I feel has worn out its welcome) toward a more subtle, drip-marketing approach. This drip marketing will take the form of a weekly newsletter we call "LampLighters" that will contain a single clip of video content from our Allain/Sullivan video shoot.
This is the first email. Please note the following:
- Our first attempt to build our facebook following by going outside facebook to get people in our email d-base to fan/like us.
- We will also be posting each new LampLighter video into Facebook which hopefully will get some viral "spread" as facebookers comment and share--- which should drive new folks from outside our d-base to our landing pages.
- Speaking of landing pages, a new set of pages designed:
- 1) to present the LampLighter Vids (the LampLighter landing page will grow in content as we send out new weekly emails). I will be adding a nav-bar at the top to catalog/archive all vids by topic.
- 2) To move visitors from consumers of our insight/content to become aware, then interested, then desirous of our products (the stuff you sell!) Click at the bottom of the lamplighter landing page to see how we move them to a 1-stop shop of demo vids. Also note my newest attempt to segment single-license tire kickers from those interested in the group-purchase.
If you click thru to these landing pages in the near term, they wont reflect some great cosmetic changes Rob D plans to make to help them rise to a higher level of presentablity! Also I need to update the facebook widget as well as relocate it.
- If you ever had the chance to review the new internship listings I shared a few weeks back you saw I am looking for somebody to help me manage our social media strategy. In addition to Facebook, we will attempt to spread the word via LinkedIN and relevant hockey blogs and discussion boards. Again--- attempting to provide meaningful content that people respect/rely upon that will drive awareness and interest in what we sell.
