In order to assist us in accelerating our execution, I am looking for 3 new college-level interns. I have circulated full job descriptions at 2 top-tier undergrad biz schools where I have personal relationships with profs or administrators in charge of internships. Below are the thumbnails. Corporate Development Intern
Flexxcoach is seeking partnerships that will lead to a role-up of the low-end of the "team administration" website industry. The intern will work with myself and the investment bank Tucker Capital (Princeton, NJ) to 1) identify, 2) design + implement outreach and 3) transition "warm dialog". The initial work around item 1 will involve conducting an industry analysis and census. Competitors, Competitor SWOTS, Competitor product-feature analysis, approx market share, are among the deliverables we envision. The work around #2 will involve working closely with TuckerCap to apply their tied and true methodologies in "connecting" with entrepreneur owner-operators. It involves direct marketing-style outreach... email, followed up with carefully-scripted phone follow-up. Item 3 is all about developing the poise and domain expertise to represent flexxCOACH and our macro-vision in initial dialog with these owner-operators. The main objective is to screen opportunities and pass the "worthy ones" on to flexxcoach.
Internship 2: Social Media Intern
Flexxcoach is preparing to role out a major social media strategy; Over the summer we used 2 interns from Amherst College to develop a battery of highly compelling video assets. We have over 3 hours of high impact, fact/opinion video of NHL (NY Rangers) and NCAA (Yale and Team USA) coaches who also have children who play hockey. We will chop this video up into bite-size topics and blast out via FB, a new flexxcoach blog and other bloggers to be identified. In addition, we are assembling a team of elite coaches who will be contributing bloggers throughout the hockey season. All content will be focused on extracting the coaching wisdom from the pros to help the legions of volunteers who can benefit. The Social Media Intern will work directly with me to develop an overall social media strategy (he/she will write up a social media biz plan) and then execute it.<
Internship 3: eMarketing Intern
flexxCOACH is looking for a web savvy B2B CRM expert to further develop, evolve and implement its TeamSolutions Go-to-Market strategy. Among the current “to-do’s”
• Take the lead in the ultimate completion of the target database. (We estimate we are about 50% configured). This aspect of the work involves leveraging a variety of online directories to find youth hockey programs and their target buyers not yet in the system and to get them entered in.
• Assist flexxCOACH in leveraging all the power Zoho CRM has to offer. There is a lot of functionality we know is available; yet, we have not had the bandwidth to evaluate and implement.
• Assist flexxCOACH in planning its eMarketing messaging strategy. To date, we have executed two campaigns within this Go-to-Market initiative: “Pre-season” and “New Season”. flexxCOACH must conceive a campaign/messaging plan and timeline for the remainder of the hockey season. The intern can play a meaningful role in this process.
• Integration with our Social Media initiative -- Please refer to our social media internship. Our eMarketing plans must be fully integrated with our social media plans. The intern can play a role in assuring this is done effectively.
