How Best to Handle Situations with no email or internal email systems --NEW INFO!

As you are now encountering, occasionally youth hockey org websites 1) offer no email addresses or 2) force you email via an internal system that will prevent us from using zoho.

While you are at the youth hockey org site employing #1 or #2 above, remember that we are trying to log every youth hockey org we can into our d-base, regardless of whether we can email them.   Also, we are learning how to be more efficient every day.  I wanted to pass along these refinements to our recommended approach when you hit these speed-bumps:

  • for situation #1) you should get whatever data you can into the system and  type noemail@noemail.com.  That way we have the org logged in and can try to triangulate getting emails by other means down the road.
  • for situation  #2) get whatever data you can into the system and type internal@email.com and then copy/paste from a new template I have added for each of you in the public email folder (will be part of drop down no matter where you are emailing from.)  This template is text-based and reworded to minimize customization.  All you need to do additionally is copy/paste the header and key in the person's last name.  Then send via the internal system.   Be sure to convert lead to contact/account after sending email and I strongly recommend you make a note in the contacts notes section to record the fact that you sent an email.

Please let me know if you have any Qs.
